  • The Geeky Seamstress had a great post on sewing with Spandex for the first time. I’ve always been intimidated to try anything other than standard cotton and knits, and this was a great kickoff point for anyone looking to try it out!
  • I love all things from Mystic Eye Creations (I have a custom acrylic pen and pencil, both of which I use on a daily basis, and I have a wooden pen too!) but lately these styluses have completely snagged my attention. Gorgeous, and useful. Christmas is coming and I definitely recommend checking out their product lines – they offer so many different things, and they are gorgeous, high quality, one of a kind pieces! Shop indie!
  • AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is being released for the 3DS!!! I am SO EXCITED. I feel this game is highly underrated – it has an amazing story and is what I consider the most challenging Zelda game I’ve played. I can’t wait to get it, and I will absolutely be getting the big special edition box with all the swag. Drooooool.
  • Jess of Bookworms In Dresses shared this fantastic cat furniture article. I want them all!! If I were rich and an interior designer, I would incorporate so many of these into my house. My favorites being the Cat Burger and the cat friendly bookshelf (which are actually possibilities for real life!).

No fanart this week. I think I’m going to expand and have it include ANY video game art, not just Zelda. Which means I have lots of possibilities to choose from! They’ll be something next week for sure!

Edgar snuggles

Edgar has always loved our little miss, and I just love it when they get snuggly! Melts my heart.

fort

Who doesn’t love Netflixing from a blanket fort?

eli catnip

I love giving Eli catnip. He sits there and rubs his face all over it, kneading the rug the whole time. Then he gets all jittery, and just starts licking the rug obsessively. Heehee, kitty crack.

lego ballerina

Just a typical morning of Lego play dressed like a ballerina.

happy edgar

After taking down the above blanket fort, the hubs folded the blankets and put them on the coffee table. Edgar moved onto them, and they are his new favorite spot. Luckily, he didn’t mind us moving the stack to our little couch so I can have my coffee table back.

rest

Having a quick rest on one of our morning walks. We often do walks sans shoes. While I’m really ready for fall to be here, I will miss being outside in bare feet!

It was kind of a kitty heavy photo week, but my boys are just so cute!

Top left, going clockwise. . .

1. Mailing out some happy mail to the winners of my Sailor Moon Bookmark Giveaway, and two more postcards for Postcrossing.

2. The Book Photo Challenge for August is almost done! It’s been a fun one!

3. I’m attempting to make felt plushies for the first time as Christmas presents. We’ll see how it goes.

4. I had Friday night all to myself as the hubs was out at FNM, and the little miss was off at a sleepover with her cousins at Grandma’s house. I took the time to get some serious blog work and planning done.

I’m so happy September is just about here! Despite fall not officially starting until the 23rd, I’ll be rolling out my new fall header paintings tomorrow. September is fall enough for me!

edgar watches

Edgar watching the living room antics from up on high. The bookshelf is definitely a favorite cat spot.

brinner

I had a brinner party for some friends this week and it was a good time. I love to make food for people! Lots of laughter, as seen by my hubs about-to-burst-out-laughing face. 😀

b & w

She was watching a new episode of My Little Pony, and there was a ‘scary bad guy’. She’d pull the blanket over her head when it was too frightening – so cute!

eli snuggled

My grandmother gave me this blanket which was handmade by one of my great great aunts. Eli loves it. He goes out of his way to sit on it and if you’re using it, he will find a corner just to rest on. Blanket love.

Instagram RoundUp

Completely forgot to do an Instagram roundup last week, oooooops.

InstaRoundup

Going clockwise. . .

1. Finished the bookmark for my hubs! He loves it. 😀
2. I’ve been posting lots of bookish photos on Instagram as I’m taking part in a Book Photo Challenge for August.
3.We had a big game weekend at my BFF’s house and it was a blast. This is a shot from Lords of Waterdeep – one of our faves.
4. I’ve been back into making omelets for the little and the hubs in the morning (not a huge egg fan myself).
