26. Best Voice Acting
The Last of Us. Hands down. I know, this game again, but I couldn’t rave about it enough if I tried. It’s JUST AMAZING. The voice acting was superb. Completely made me fall in love with Joel as a character, and Ellie too. In fact, it’s the one reason I am adamantly against a Last of Us movie being made. HOW COULD YOU DO IT WITH DIFFERENT VOICES?!?!?! Yeah, I can’t handle that.
27. Most Epic Scene Ever
These questions seem to be getting a bit repetitive towards the end here – didn’t we basically cover this in Game With The Best Cut Scene? I mean if you thought it had the best cut scenes you probably thought it had the most epic scenes as well. . .I digress.
Here are two more scenes I thought were kick ass.
Personally, I loved the original ending to ME3. I really liked the sacrifice, I thought it was very well suited, and I really don’t understand why people threw a fit about it. Granted, I’m a sucker for heroic tragedies, but still. It was a good ending.
I was hooked from this opening scene of Bioshock. From the plane crash, to the beautiful first look at Rapture, I was in. Great game opener.
I’m using the questions from the Video Game Blog Challenge found here. All screenshots/photos you see are found via a basic Google image search. Copyrighted to their respective owners.
Good point, if I like a character’s voice it would be so weird to have an actor star as them with a totally different voice… sigh… I’ve always wanted them to do a Final fantasy X movie (doubt that’ll ever happen, but hey, I can dream) but now that I think about it… I guess I don’t know if I want that anymore because I would want all the characters to have the same voice as in the game!! Wah!

To me, especially in a video game, the voice MAKES the character (assuming they speak haha). To hear it differently in a movie would just be seem so wrong!
While I haven’t played The Last of Us, I totally agree with your point on character voices. They re-did the voices for the Silent Hill HD Collection and I was annoyed until they revealed you could switch to the original voice acting for Silent Hill 2 (but not 3). Phew. I actually haven’t played it with the new voice acting because I don’t think I could handle a different-sounding James.
The Bioshock opening scene is one of my favorites, too. So much love for that whole series.
Agreed. I have yet to be Bioshock: Infinite and I really need to! I got it for my birthday. . .in April. . .oy. At this point I should really start from the beginning!!
